Beloved: A Valentine's Week Study for Women Day #1- The Hairs on Your Head
February 9th:
What is your love story? If you had struggles at some point, how have you looked to God's Word for truth or help?
Beloved means more than you just belonging to God. Beloved means you also belong to your husband and that he belongs to you.
...But first we need to see who our first Beloved is: God, our first love; God, who our ancestor David praised in times of triumphs and in trials.
Psalm 63: 3-4 (NIV)
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
After we look to Him first, we should know that this love story is not one-sided.
Luke 12: 6-7 makes it very clear how God loves us.
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
We should meditate on the above two verses as we think about and share our own love stories. Maybe your love story hasn't happened yet... at this point you can start thinking it is time to hand over the pen of your life to God so He can write it for you. God does not disappoint.
