Beloved: A Valentine's Week Study for Women Day #4- Brothers and Sisters

February 12th:
A deeper love...
A love between brothers and sisters in Christ...

Song of Solomon 4:9

You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes

This is what comes first and last.  Let's reflect on Hebrews 13:1-9:

Let love of the brethren continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”
so that we confidently say,
“THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?”
Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.

I think that we often treat our friends better than our own Beloved who lives under our own roof.
A question to ponder: How can we show Christ's love for us to our husbands?  If you are preparing for marriage, how can you prepare your mind and body to serve your future husband?

The greatest love story between man and woman, Song of Solomon, mentions his beloved as his sister several times.  She is his "Beloved sister."  Remembering what she is first and last is a priority.  We can see this in verses 4:9, 4:10, 4:12 and 5:1.

Start with something small today, and serve your brother in Christ...
