Pray for our Military This National Day of Prayer

Pray for our military and their families. Most service members have a strong faith in God, Country and Family. Newer generations have faith in goodness and servitude. No matter what walk of life each person comes from, they can not fight a battle on their own. The armor of God must be upon them, and if we are the means, through prayer, to provide that armor, we must do so. Cover those who would die for you in prayer. Cover those who fight for your liberties in prayer. Cover those who uphold our constitution in prayer. Cover those to are called off to far lands and their spouses in prayer. Cover those families, who are often times fiercely Patriotic, in prayer. Cover those children who miss their dad's hugs and mom's bedtime stories in prayer. These are the ones who ultimately provide our future with a sense of peace and liberty.

Hezekiah, a great king of Judah, trusted that God would provide in battle. He called out to the LORD first, 2 Chronicles 32: 6-8  And he set combat commanders over the people and gathered them together to him in the square at the gate of the city and spoke encouragingly to them, saying, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Be strong in the LORD, those of you who serve.  Be strong in what the cross stands for and don't ever loose sight of your faith.  Be strong in knowing that those who you leave behind are on their knees asking God for a hedge of protection over you.
